Introduction
The A/D conversion can be triggered by Software Polling,
Timer Pacer and External Trigger. The transfer of converted data can
be accomplished by Program Control and Interrupt Service
Routine (ISR), both modes can be handled by software.
D/A Conversion
1. Available software on ACL-711B and Advantech's PCL-711B: If you have software to run for the PCL-711B, it can also be used on the ACL-8111 without modification. ACL-8111's registers and connectors are completely compatible with ACL-711B and Advantech's PCL-711B.
2. Fully integrated data acquisition software package: LabTech's NoteBook or National Instrument's LabVIEW, LabWindow and Advantech's Genie, etc.
3. Custom Programming: For the users who are writing their
own programs, the ACL-8111 is supported by a comprehensive set
of drivers and programming tools. Utility, Program Library and
Windows 3.x drivers are available.
Utility
acquisition operations including interrupt or software data
transfer, etc. The Windows driver is supplied as a DLL that can be
accessed from C, C++ and Visual Basic under Windows. In addition, its
appli-cation programming interface (API) is designed similar to
Program Library in DOS environment. It is very easy to transfer a DOS
application to Windows program, just add some Windows instructions.
