ACLD-9182
16 Channel Opto-Isolated Digital Input Termination Board
Introduction
The ACLD-9182 opto-isolated D/I termination board provides 16 optically
isolated digital inputs for use with any ACL series I/O board with D/I channels on 20-pin flat ribbon connectors.
Optical isolation provides a good solution in the prevention of floating potential and ground loop problems.
Each input channel has a red LED to reflect the input status. If the input voltage is high, the LED will light, otherwise the LED is
off. Each input channel is jumper selectable to be either AC-filter or non-AC-filter.
Features
- 16 Opto-Isolated Digital Input Channels
- For Use with ACL DAS Card 20-Pin Digital Input Connector
- AC or DC Polarity-Free Digital Input
- On-Board LEDs reflect the input logic status
- Built-In Screw Terminals for Input Wiring
- LEDs Indicate Status of Relays
Non-Polarized, Opto-Isolated Digital Input
The digital input is first routed through a photocoupler (PC-814), so that the
connections are not polarity sensitive whether
used on AC or DC voltage. Also, a single-pole filter with a time constant about 5ms is
used to filter when the AC inputs pass through.
The Outstanding features of this circuitry are:
- Non-Polarity Sensitive Digital Input
- Both DC or AC (50-1000Hz) Inputs
- Up to 1,000V Isolation Voltage
- DC Noise Rejection (Spikes or Constant Debouncing)
