A/D conversion can be triggered in three ways; by software, by pacer, or by an external trigger pulse. The transfer of the data can also be accomplished by programmable control or by interrupt service routine. All modes are selectable by software.
The AR-B3204 also features one channel of multiplying 12-bit D/A output. The DAC's can use a fixed -5V or -10V reference available from on-board for a 0 to +5V or 0 to +10V output range. D/A is double-buffered to provide instantaneous single-step updates. The data transfer of the D/A converter can be accomplished by software or interrupt service routines.
Digital I/O consists of 4 bits of TTL compatible digital output & 7 bits of digital input. Apart from
being addressed as I/O ports, one of the digital inputs does
double duty as an A/D external trigger input. The digital outputs are low at their power on state and stay
at the same state (latched) until the next output operation occurs.
