Introduction

For embedded systems, the AR-B9606 is a small, stand alone CPU card (5.71" x 4.02") built to support network based applications. The unit comes with an NE2000 compatible Ethernet on board, one RS-485 and three RS-232C ports, 4MB of DRAM on board, two I/O lines with 3-pin connectors and a PC/104 expansion bus. The AR-B9606 is perfect for putting PLCs and other factory machines on a network, gaming machines, security systems, test equipment, order entry systems, information displays for airports or amusement parks. The two I/O lines allow the AR-B9606 to turn the machine it is controlling on or off allowing the user full control of the system via the Ethernet. The AR-B9606 is unlike any CPU card on the market today and is available from Circuit Specialists Inc.
