The CD22204E is a complete DTMF receiver that detects all 16 standard digits. No front-end prefiltering is necessary. The only external components required are a bias resistor and a 3.579545 MHz "colorburst" crystal. The outputs interface directly to standard CMOS or LSTTL circuitry, and are 3-state enabled to facilitate bus oriented architectures. Output is in 4-bit hexadecimal code. The CD22204E requires a single low tolerance 5 volt power supply.
