Is $5 Too Much to Spend to Protect Your PC? |
Three Applications in One! Cleandisx III keeps the entire disk cavity filtered and clean. Your computer acts like a little vacuum cleaner. The cooling fan in the back of your computer blows air out the back, which creates a vacuum inside and in turn sucks air into your system through any available opening. On most systems, one of the largest of these openings is the floppy disk drive slot. Air sucked into the system brings with it any smoke, dust, lint and other airborne particles and debris. This debris builds up and eventually causes numerous problems if not controlled. Storing a dry Cleandisx III in the disk slot will help alleviate this harmful build-up by filtering and removing most of the debris.
The ROM BIOS on most PC Systems runs through a power-on system setup routine each time you turn on your PC. This includes a floppy disk head seek routine which causes the head to move in and out, making that little purring sound you hear coming from your floppy drives each time you turn on your machine. So by keeping a Cleandisx III stored in your drive, you are essentially doing a head cleaning each time you turn on your PC. The Cleandisx III is invisible to most PC Systems, so it shouldn't try to boot off the A drive.
Cleandisx III can also be used to secure the floppy drive heads while moving, shipping, carrying or transporting your system. Cleandisx III gives you a better
"cushion" for your heads to ride on.
