Introduction
The new AWE64 SoundBlaster advanced wave-table supports up to 64 simultaneous
wave-table notes and is completely compatible with Sound Blaster, Sound
Blaster 16 and Sound Blaster AWE32. It comes with 512KB on-board memory
for downloadable SoundFonts and 3D Positional Audio. Up to 24MB RAM maybe
added as the user's requirements grow. The Creative Labs 16 speed IR CD
ROM provides data transfer at 2250 KB/sec and 150ms or better average seek
time. The infrared controller allows the user to remotely control volume,
operate Web browsers, launch and run Windows applications and mouse emulation.
The amplified 10 watt speakers are magnetically shielded and deliver high
impact sound. The accompanying software package makes this a real value
for home computing. Titiles include: Education: Microsoft Encarta
97 Encyclopedia, Sesame Street `Let's Make a Word!', Sesame Street `Numbers'.
