Supports Enhanced IDE and Fast ATA Drives Highest Performing Dual Channel VESA IDE Controllers Available!

Manufactured by Data Technology, these 32-bit VESA Local-Bus compliant controller cards support today's sophisticated IDE drives including IDE CD-ROM. They are capable of supporting burst transfer rates of up to 16.6MB/sec. (PIO Mode 4). Typically, the user will see up to a 400% performance improvement over standard IDE paddlecards and other VESA IDE controllers.

For IDE Drives Greater Than 528MB (LBA Support)
DTC2278E will support IDE drives over 528MB without overlaying utility software only if the motherboard BIOS supports Logical Block Addressing (LBA).

If the motherboard BIOS does not support LBA, then choose the DTC2278EB, which has on-board BIOS that supports LBA and drives greater than 528MB without using troublesome utility software programs.
