This card provides 2 programmable serial input/output channels, compatible with 16C550. 16 byte FIFO buffers on both transmit & receive of each channel,
relieves the CPU of interrupt overhead and allows greater latency time in interrupt servicing when using in a multi-tasking environment. Especially useful when using a
modem with over a 9600 baud rate. Also includes parallel port for direct printer interface. Configurable from Com1 through Com 4, LPT2 to LPT3 via jumper
selections.
